Hemingway called the novel idiom “a movable feast,” and I would echo that for the art of writing itself, all of it, and every sentence of its process, regardless of format, genre, length. As food fuels the human body, words set the soul ablaze. It is a fire I cannot feed fast or full enough. What I love most is the degree of perpetual difficulty involved in the process of developing and honing the craft. At once an adventure of joy and pain, sadness and euphoria, misery and happiness, dusk and dark and dawn alike, the words are the endless quest I value above all others. And because I do, every project I write lives and breathes life all its own.
