The online world is mostly comprised and expressed through words. Words are not only instrumental for growth and connections but also a medium for every person to express oneself. I have been writing since I was little. To me, it is my personal way to counsel myself and check on what the world has in store for me and how should I react or respond to it. During my childhood, I wrote journals, short fictional stories, and a lot of poetry. When I grew up more, I got into school publication and started to pen newsletter articles both on news and feature. This went on until highschool where I became an Associate Editor for English. I was also chosen as one of the 5 Most Outstanding Delegates in YMCA Press Conference. In college, I was Features writer, editor, and copywriter for four years. I also enjoyed writing and researching for my thesis on Art Therapy. My creative juices and passion for writing continue to flow until when I was working. I worked as a guidance counselor for children and got to do more formal reports such as counseling and test result reports. I also did a group guidance module for children; this comprises of different classroom activities which I wrote and drafted myself. Along with my job-related writing tasks, I still do blogs, poems, and short stories. I also attended script writing workshops. After being a guidance counselor, I worked as a Training Assistant in which I was tasked to create an overall module for a food company. I made manuals for each department, such as Accounting, Commissary, among others. I am also a freelance scriptwriter for events and I do hosting sometimes when my schedule allows it. Presently, I work for a major TV station here in our country. I lead a team which monitors compliance in all programs in terms of broadcast media rules and child welfare regulations. My tasks include: making daily monitoring reports, writing correspondences, creating brochures, and communicating with different personnel about concerns. My portfolio includes several short stories, poems, book/movie reviews, blog entries, and articles. I cannot imagine myself living, functioning in this life without words. Apart from the passion I have for it, I like to share my thoughts to other people too and hopefully also earn from it.
