I have recently completed a 344-page work of fiction (think Michael Crichton sci-fi/thriller). I wrote the document in Microsoft Word, and have gone over it at least a dozen times. But even with several reviews, I still seem to find typos and discrepancies every time.
Basically, I need another set of eyes on this book. This is what I have in mind:
1) send over the document in Word - requesting editor uses markup to notate changes
2) thorough proofread, looking not only for typos and obvious mistakes, but inconsistencies in readability.
3) willingness to collaborate until document is ready for Kindle/paperback publication.
This project really just boils down to me needing an outsider to read through the text while looking for hang-ups, typos, and any other mistakes that may cause readers to stop in their tracks. If proofreading a 300+ page work of fiction sounds like something that's right up your alley, please submit your proposal. I freelance, too, so I promise I'm not a nightmare to work with :-)
Thanks for your consideration. Looking forward to the responses, and good luck!
