Several years of software development experience allows me to very quickly digest new problem domains while translating end-user requirements into the flesh and blood of a new software system. My focus is on native iOS applications, along with the creation of associated back-end systems. Another passion is integrating mobile applications with various embedded devices (usually via Bluetooth LE). My embedded projects have included devices such as Arduino, Multitech MTCDP, Raspberry Pi, and the Telit GE864-Quad SOC. I am comfortable interfacing with all of the major relational database systems, with strongest knowledge in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. In the NoSQL space, I have detailed experience with Mongo. For mobile / embedded device persistence I typically use SQLite. My database design skills are moderately good. Over the last few years, Cloud-based environments have proved important on almost all of my projects; thus, I am comfortable integrating with cloud computing stacks: AWS (EC2 & S3), Azure, Exosite, and Parse.
