Hi! My friends and family call me Mae. I have been in the call center industry for more than 10 years. I started as a Customer Service Representative of a telecommunications company and later on I have decided to join the Sales team, I was then promoted to become a SME (Subject-Matter-Expert). After 3 years, I was introduced to a different line of business which was on the Healthcare side. I was a healthcare advocate (handled policies, claims, etc.) at first but I got promoted as SME after my 5 months of stay. I also handled the Employee Engagement Team as their lead representative while handling the SME position. I enjoyed doing those roles for more than a year until I got challenged to enter the world of Information Technology. I transferred to a company that is somewhat related to the accounts I handled as a healthcare advocate but that time it was more on the technical side. I took care of the configuration of the clients' mobile and web apps for their health insurance enrollment. I spent more than 3 years having fun in the IT industry but my heart missed being on the customer service field. I missed spending time helping other people that gives more human touch through conversations. So I went back to being a customer service representative. Unfortunately, the virus dominated the world. Living in Rizal, it has been difficult to sustain a stable internet connection. It made me unable to keep my job. But I moved to a better location now enabling me to gain back the ability to work freely again. Now, I am a freelancer, working on different projects.
