Ghostwriting Writing is my passion and it shows in my writing. A freelance writer since 2007, I embarked on ghostwriting romance novels in 2014. Since that time I’ve written over two million words for my clients about sexy aliens, shifters, rock stars, billionaires, and bikers. I take my readers to the outskirts of the galaxy to the highways of America with a hog rumbling between their legs. My stories feature plenty of romance, twists, and turns with a good HEA. I'm sure I can turn out a quality story for you that will sell well. Currently scheduling work for novels of any genre. Astrology Since romance writing overtook my business I no longer freelance for astrology articles except for grandfathered clients. Sorry.

To be honest, writing wasn’t actually my first choice of career. I desperately wanted to be a firefighter or a police officer or a superhero… I wasn’t picky. I was four. I just really wanted to help people. But it turns out that it helps not to be short when you want to be a firefighter or a police officer, and that the superhero market is a little rough to break into without actual superpowers. Fortunately, I realized I actually had a superpower not too long after that. I can’t fly or bend metal by thinking about it, and the only time I’ve ever turned blue was when I accidentally jumped into a really cold pool. But I can write. I love the sound, the shape, the texture of words. I love the way they interlock and weave together to create pictures in the mind. I love the magic of storytelling, whether I’m telling my kids stories I’ve written just for them, or telling a friend about a cool new boba place that I just found and they have this Earl Grey Lavender latte that just reminds me of silk with an aftertaste of springtime…. It’s amazing! Back when I was a kid, writing for a living wasn’t even on the table. You had to be lucky, connected, or already wealthy… none of which described me, by the way. Now, the world runs online and that means that the online world literally runs on storytelling. Stories transport, inform, enthrall, and motivate. They entertain, comfort and create trust. They can bring people together or move people to action. Most of all, stories connect humans in a way nothing else does. Sounds like a superpower to me... what do you think? What I Can Help You With: * detailed beta reading that delivers a comprehensive report and gives you constructive criticism that's easy to act on (while being very, very nice about it) * encouraging expert editorial support for newer writers * humanizing AI written manuscripts (all lengths) (AI cleanup ghostwriting) * catching AI tell-tales and removing them. * ghostwriting, editing, and researching I am meticulous (can also be called nit-picky) when it comes to editing and ghostwriting. But I love doing it. I love finding my client’s voice and creating something alongside them. Above all, I’m ethical, honest, and I stick to deadlines. If I can’t meet that deadline, I will tell you before I accept an assignment. I don’t want to waste your time or your money. I treat your project as if it's my own… giving you the time, attention, and resources that you need to succeed. If you're a fellow writer, I've got your back. No one understands the struggle and joy of making a story work quite like another writer. So if you’re looking for a responsible, empathetic, imaginative writer with a jones for research, a knack for conversational writing, and a relentless work ethic…. click that contact button. Let’s work together to get your story out there!

Whether you're writing your first book or your fifteenth, I’m here to guide, elevate, and celebrate your story, without ever hijacking your voice or your vision. ✨ What I Do Best I specialize in helping writers shape their stories from raw idea to bookshelf-ready. You own the story, I'm just the wordsmith who helps shape it into something unforgettable. Developmental Editing : Structure, pacing, character arcs, worldbuilding, plot logic, and voice. I’ll help you see the big picture, and how to nail it. Line Editing: Sentence flow, style, tone, consistency, and emotion. Like giving your prose a spotlight and a polish. Every great story starts with a great collaboration. Send me a message and let’s talk about your idea, your draft-in-progress, or the book that’s been living in your head for years. Please read completely as many common questions are answered here. Born and raised in Ohio, I am a native English speaker and have a BA in English from Kent State University. For five years, I taught language, reading, and honors creative writing to junior and senior high students, writing my own drama and creative writing curriculum. Over the course of my career, I have released nearly a dozen YA novels, short story collections, a collection of plays, a cookbook, and a book on writing. I have worked as a freelance writer / ghostwriter in both non-fiction and fiction capacities, writing everything from captions and copy to short stories and novels in myriad genres. While my forte is fiction, I do accept non-fiction work. I've created characters and outlines, as well as writing from a provided outline, and can work with as much or as little as the client wishes. All work is 100% original, meaning that unless otherwise instructed by a client, I do not outsource work to other freelancers and I do not use generative AI programs. None of my writing, including any provided samples, were assisted or created by AI. Much of my work as a ghostwriter has made Amazon's top 100 ebook lists at least once, and I have had more than one make USA Weekend's Bestseller list. I have been freelancing since 2002 and have been writing full-time since December 2012. As I sign NDAs with all of my clients and while some do give permission for me to use parts of that work as writing samples, I cannot provide full chapters of any work I have done for clients. I can only provide chapters from my own work, which is all YA. I do not write samples over 500 words on request without payment. I require all communication to be through a messaging platform, which means no phone or Zoom interviews, though I am happy to set a time for an Upwork message chat interview. My current Upwork hourly rate is $40/hr and my current Upwork per word rate is $0.06/word. This is based on my experience and what my current clients are paying. Outlining, story development, and revision options vary for per word / fixed rate work and are not provided without additional compensation. I work on a first-come, first-serve basis, and that comes by contract, not discussion. I can advise what my schedule looks like at any given time, but until a contract is signed and a project accepted, that may change. I do not accept any work that promotes / portrays any of the following in a positive manner: homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, racism, hatred, or blasphemy of any religion.

Hi! I'm Elizabeth and I've been delighting clients on Upwork since 2017. With over two decades of experience throughout the freelancing world, I work hard to bring my clients only the very best, earning only the highest accolades—and I intend to keep it that way! I am available for limited calls, but please note that a disability does sometimes make me very hoarse. If you would like to join my ever-growing list of happy customers, please peruse the list of experience down below. Typical turnaround for 1,000 words is 24-48 hours. Editing and proofreading are available in any genre. Thank you and have a great day! In Publishing I've worked with HarperCollins, Plovertrot Press, and dozens of self-publishing talents. Editing, formatting, ghostwriting, and proofreading in all genres, with the majority of my experience backing it. In Copywriting Ty, Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Amazon, Target, Wal-Mart, At Home, AAFES/The Exchange, and numerous others have called on me to answer their copywriting needs. My conversion rates are high, my turnaround is low, and I keep businesses on the go! In Blogging and Internet Articles SEO is my best friend! You've read my articles everywhere—you just don't realize it. Past clients include Murdoch's, Tractor Supply Company, Sport Dog Food, Disney, Coca-Cola, The Home Depot, Lawrence Moves, Whole Foods, and so many, many others. I'm comfortable in any genre, from pets to finance and back again. In Branding, Marketing, Public Relations, and Business Planning Just getting off the ground? Do you need a new look? Or perhaps you need someone who can be compassionate while re-working the company's image. I've got you covered. Here is a sample of the companies I've worked with: Johnson & Johnson's (in Aveeno and Splenda), Ty, Inc., Freedyums Snacks, Battle Archery, and dozens of others. In Creative and Ghostwriting Need help with your novel? Or some steamy scenes for your romance? I outline, edit, proofread, ghostwrite, and do all things creative writing. Samples available at request. In Television, Video Production, and Screenwriting Over the past six years, I've written or co-written pilot episodes of television shows (The Coma Rose Garden, Jupiter's Legacy, Valeria). I work locally with a small children's show, "Bulldogs". Beyond that, I've worked with several YouTube channels, including CollegeHumor, MoPete Productions, and Movie Boss. In Speech Writing and Politics I wrote for the Stacey Abrams campaign, primarily in speeches revolving around education. Toys R Us and Circuit City have also had speeches for their CEOs written by yours truly. I'm currently writing copy for the South Carolina Bernie Sanders office. In Business to Business Writing Need some B2B work instead of customer-facing? I'm happy to provide samples regarding this type of writing, though I feel it's detrimental to post the companies I've worked for on this one. Contact me! In Medical Experience and Writing Dozens of CBD oil companies have my ghostwriting converting at high levels for them right now. I've also worked in dental, veterinary, and other medically-related writing fields. I volunteered at my local veterinary clinic for years. With my husband in the military, I've also worked in medical data entry and substitute assistant nursing help. In Education I hold a substitute teaching credential for the states of Texas, Georgia, and Washington. I've worked in children's picture books, curriculum assistance, and lesson planning. In Video Games As of this writing, I'm working with Kaio Interactive. In the past, I've worked with Rare (early Yooka-Laylee work), Firefly Studios, and a handful of others. I primarily work in character design, sound, and writing. Quest work can be seen on Blizzard's Warlords of Draenor expansion pack. In Voice Acting Perhaps the newest trait that I'm expanding upon, you can hear me in a few indie games and radio bits. Contact for samples! In Grant Writing I have a 70% acceptance rating as of this writing. I make no guarantees, but I'm more than willing to draft your grant proposal and assist you in connecting it with the right people. In Music, Sound, and Design Music credits include background commercial sound for Kellogg's cereals, several independent video games, and a few short films. Contact for more information. SFX requests are especially welcome. In Web Design If you're looking for someone to create full-stack websites, I'm definitely not there yet (but I'm working on it!). If you need a fairly simple Wordpress, Wix, or a site like that, I can help you out. Let's talk! In Bookkeeping I began managing my family's books when I was 8 years old. I continued until I left home. I still manage my own books and those of a handful of clients. If you're looking for a bookkeeper who will keep you in the black, I'm ready to help you out. Need something not listed? Contact me! I'm always around and if it is in my wheelhouse, I've got you covered.
