Hello! I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Southern Mississippi, writing my dissertation on medieval Arthuriana; I specialize in the Late Middle Ages and environmental humanities. During the fall and spring, I work as a lecturer at a community college. I am looking for summer work to supplement my income. I have been a freelancer on Upwork for years and have a significant amount of experience in ghostwriting romance novels in many subgenres (paranormal, shifter, LGBTQ+, Regency, fantasy, paranormal, and new adult), YA fantasy novels, and children's books. Although YA and romance both hold a special place in my heart, I would love to edit novels of any genre, whether you seek editing plot, characterization, or syntax. I have had numerous short stories, poems, and a YA novel published both through magazines and small presses, so I know my stuff. I would also like to ghostwrite any romance or YA novels. I am also a detailed and enthusiastic betareader, but I expect to be paid a fair wage for it. I am also skilled at writing research proposals, and I have been awarded grants both within my university and from outside organizations. I will look over any academic writing and offer suggestions/edits. I am especially good with MLA and Chicago styles, and I have had some success in academic publishing. I have published multiple book reviews and two articles, and I have two book chapters under review.Teaching EnglishFiction WritingAcademic WritingMicrosoft Office - $18 hourly

I have been thinking for a time now about how I can make a valid contribution using my skills. I have been a physics teacher for over eight years, and have identified some areas that students really need help in. - Students need to appreciate / understand simple math concepts to boost their confidence and not get overly apprehensive. They need to develop what I term "numbers sense." My target group is elementary and middle school students. - Physics is seen as one of the most frightening subjects, however exposing them to foundational concepts before they start can help to relieve their anxieties. What is my strong point -- not only knowledge and experience, but most of all patience and care. I am a high school physics teacher with a background and degree in Math and Physics. I would like to help better the next generation by helping to solidify the foundation of our youth. Please do not hesitate to send me an Invite if you like to work with me.Teaching EnglishEditing & ProofreadingContent EditingTechnical EditingTeaching AlgebraResearch PapersEnglish - $12 hourly

I have been working as a writer, editor, photographer and public speaker for more than two decades. When I founded KearceCrafted Communications (a.k.a. KearceCom) in 1997, things were very different. I saved copy to a floppy disc and packaged it with 35 mm photos for delivery via terrestrial mail. We used email for backup but, secretly, no one trusted it. Both technology and KearceCom have changed dramatically during the past 20 years. Currently, KearceCom brings news of the Gulf Coast to the Southeast via newspaper, magazine, television and digital content. Formerly, I was a college professor at Northwest Florida State College for 12 years teaching English and social sciences. Although I retired from NWFSC in 2012, I continue to teach both in-person and online and have recently developed a three-step process designed to help working women cultivate health and happiness.Teaching EnglishInvestigative ReportingAI Model TrainingChatGPTFact-CheckingNonfiction WritingArticle WritingJournalism WritingGhostwritingSelf-HelpPhotojournalismContent CreationWeb DesignEditing & ProofreadingWriting - $24 hourly
