I'm from Taiwan, a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and fluent English speaker. I've helped numerous business owners and individuals enter the Chinese marketplace. In order to achieve a successful project, I listen to what client needs and make sure which Chinese spoken areas client targets, so I know which writing systems or dialects I should translate to. Due to the fact that the majority of the Mandarin-speaking population uses Simplified Chinese, I'm generally asked to translate to this writing system. However, I'm also seeking opportunities to promote Traditional Chinese. Most of the projects I have on Upwork (formerly oDesk) are translating from English into Simplified Chinese. Since I'm not native English speaker, I can't claim to present error-free results. Unless clients don't mind and are willing to give me this offer, I usually don't take Chinese to English translation project. I know how important trust, understanding and communication are.
