Hello! My name is Ben Carter Olcott, and I’m a TV writer repped by 3 Arts Entertainment; a published and award-nominated author; and an Entertainment industry veteran based in Los Angeles. I’ve worked side-by-side with Emmy-nominated TV producers on projects set up at Universal Studios and 20thTV, and I’ve helped develop series pitches at Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Peacock, and HBO. My literary writing has been published in national literary magazines, was a Missouri Review Editors’ Prize Finalist, and nominated for a Pushcart Prize. I am currently represented by Tom Lassally (Edge of Tomorrow, Silicon Valley) and Rob Harrington of 3 Arts Entertainment for TV and Film screenwriting. I was most recently the Associate Producer to Emmy-nominated writer-producer Robin Veith (Mad Men, The Act) on her overall deal at 20th Television. I previously served as Writers’ Assistant and Showrunner’s Assistant on Hulu’s limited series Candy (EPs: Nick Antosca, Robin Veith). My screenplays have been finalists in ScreenCraft’s True Stories Competition, the Southern California Screenwriting Contest, and the Geneva International Science in Fiction Screenplay Awards. I was an Assistant Editor at Oxford University Press for three years, where I managed a list of textbooks with a sales value of over 3 million dollars. Additionally, I was a Digital Manager managing the delivery of Digital education assets. I was the Managing Editor at KGB Bar Literary Magazine for three years, where I copyedited every article we published. At Skylight books in Los Angeles, I ran the Coyotes Book Club, a literary fiction reading club for adults.
