Translator, Interpreter, and MT Post-Editor Fully Bilingual in English and Spanish I was born in the United States, where I completed my primary, secondary, and university education. I majored in Spanish, History, and Secondary Education. During college and the following years, I had the opportunity to travel abroad to Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Algeria for study abroad programs and service projects. I also spent a year teaching English as a second language to immigrants from Mexico and Guatemala living in the United States. After several long-term service projects in Argentina, I moved to Buenos Aires in 2006. I worked in a Christian prison ministry for 10 years, visiting several federal women’s prisons on a weekly basis. During that same time, I was responsible for translating institutional materials and communicating with English-speaking supporters. I was also responsible for outreach to non-Spanish-speaking female inmates and interpretation between Spanish and English during gatherings. In 2017, I began working as a full-time freelance translator for MContigo, translating a wide variety of blog content, as well as product manuals and Amazon copy from Spanish to English. In 2021, my role was changed to machine translation post-editor, and I became responsible for checking all English content. In addition to that, in 2022 and 2023, I worked as a freelance translator for SPENGLS, translating academic content from Spanish to English on an as-needed basis. The company has since closed, but the former owner continues to recommend clients to me, as she no longer works as a translator. From 2022 to 2025, I was retained as English-Spanish translator for TechMatters/Terraso, translating a variety of materials from English to Spanish, including the Terraso website and app. I also have extensive experience working as a freelance translator for various authors and publishers in the United States, translating written materials and videos from Spanish to English and vice-versa. Currently, I’m performing machine-translation post-editing for an SEO company, working specifically on checking the translation of a tax company website to ensure the resulting text is accurate, natural, and consistent with US-Spanish and IRS-appropriate terminology. At the same time, I’m assisting a copywriter in the humanization of AI-generated texts to ensure they read naturally and conversationally and that they pass under 30% according to Quetext. Besides my love for language, I'm a passionate advocate for people with disabilities, their families, and other marginalized groups. I began volunteering at various camps for people with disabilities as a young teen. As a young adult, I began working in sheltered workshops for adults with disabilities and as live-in staff at a group home for women with disabilities and mental illness. While working in Argentine prisons, I visited with imprisoned women with mental illness on a weekly basis. Since 2017, I've coordinated the disability inclusion and accessibility ministry at my church in Buenos Aires. I guarantee that all work will be done accurately, professionally, and on time.
