I am a professional Japanese translator, interpreter, subtitler, writer, and cultural/travel consultant who holds a BA in East Asian Languages and Cultures and an MA in Global Studies. I have lived, studied, and worked in Japan for nearly ten years. My time in the country has included two years studying at the prestigious Sophia University in Tokyo, four years teaching English on the JET Program in rural Fukushima Prefecture (during which time I often served as an interpreter for the local government and board of education), and three years back in Tokyo as an interpretation, translation, journalism, and travel specialist.
