📌 Freelancer Needed for Transitional Housing Research (Fixed Rate – 2 Positions Only) While Sladana appears knowledgeable in her academic and research background, our working relationship was unfortunately not a good match. I provided a clear scope, detailed guidance, sample questions, and extensive context for the project well before the contract began. This included outlining that the work focused on building a robust FAQ database informed by real-world hosting experience and group-sourced questions from short-term and midterm rental communities. The deliverables were not due until July 7th, so I want to be fair in noting that the issue was not missed deadlines — but rather the tone, alignment, and overall direction of the engagement.

One of the first concerns was the delay in signing the NDA, which I had communicated upfront was a prerequisite for beginning any actual work. Despite reminders, this was not completed promptly. More notably, within five days of contract activation — and after multiple confirmations that she understood the assignment — Sladana began to challenge the project’s core strategy. She repeatedly questioned the approach of extracting questions from online communities and referred to the work as “casual blog discussions,” despite being clearly informed that this content formed part of a broader SEO strategy, client education system, and brand development initiative.

No test content or sample deliverables were ever submitted. Instead, I received extended commentary about what she would and would not do, paired with unsolicited critiques of the project's foundation — despite previously indicating agreement with the scope. Her tone, unfortunately, came across as dismissive and condescending, particularly when minimizing a creative, insight-driven content model by labeling it “casual.” For those of us who take pride in our professional approach — particularly those whose business is built on strategic, real-world insight — this kind of tone can be not only unhelpful but disrespectful.

Further, she pushed to access proprietary materials (such as the full internal FAQ list) which I declined to share without both a signed NDA and a clear demonstration of alignment with the project goals. I was left concerned that even if such material were shared, it would be met with further critique rather than collaboration.

To her credit, Sladana eventually decided that the project wasn’t the right fit, and I agreed. I released the first milestone payment out of goodwill, even though no actual work had been submitted, in recognition of time spent. I do believe in professionalism, and I do not regret compensating her for her time — but I also believe in accountability and clarity for future clients.

In summary: while Sladana may be suited for academic or marketing research roles that value theoretical frameworks and structured critique, I would advise future clients — especially entrepreneurs, business owners, or creative professionals — to proceed cautiously. If your project involves a clear, experiential, and creative approach that you want respected and expanded upon (not deconstructed or second-guessed), this may not be the best match. Flexibility, collaboration, and a willingness to build on — rather than criticize — a client’s vision are critical to a positive working relationship. Unfortunately, those elements were lacking in this engagement.

I wish her the best in her career, but cannot recommend her for projects that require applied thinking, mutual respect, timely execution, or creative collaboration grounded in trust.

Admin/Executive Support since 2013 working with small to medium-sized businesses and individuals across time zones.

✅ Administration: document management and administrative filing, data entry, website content updates (Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, custom CMS), document formatting
✅ Tool Management: Functional use and coordination of standard communication and office suites (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Teams, Zoom, AI tools, and others).
✅Problem-Solving: Ad-hoc support to resolve urgent or non-standard administrative bottlenecks.

→ In practice
I have managed complex calendars with mixed personal and business commitments. Once, a colleague (MST) was stuck trying to schedule a meeting with a client in Australia. I reviewed everyone's availability, found several times, and proposed options that worked for all parties. The meeting was finalized that same day, eliminating the back-and-forth.

I handle the details so you can focus on the big picture.
