Project details

Messy data costs you time every single time you touch it. Duplicate rows. Five different date formats in one column. Names in three different cases. Amounts stored as text, so nothing sums correctly.

Send me the file and I will send back a clean one. Duplicates merged, dates standardized to one format, text casing and spacing normalized, currency and numbers converted to real numeric values, and blanks or error markers flagged rather than quietly deleted.

You also get a change log listing every edit, row by row, so you can check the work before you trust the data. Nothing changes without a record of it.

I work in Excel and CSV, including Google Sheets exports. No access to your systems needed, just the file itself. If your data has columns that look wrong but are actually correct, note it in the requirements, and I will leave them alone.

Higher tiers add multi-file merging, a summary tab, and a reusable cleaning script so you can run the same process yourself next time.

Data Cleanup, Reporting, and Workflow Automation
Maumee, United States - 9:47 am local time
Your data is a mess, and everyone knows it. Duplicate rows nobody has time to reconcile. Five date formats in one column. A report someone rebuilds by hand every Monday because the numbers never line up on their own.

That is the work I do. I clean the data, build the report, and, where it makes sense, automate the process so it stops eating hours every week.

WHAT I DO

Data cleanup and structuring
Duplicates, inconsistent dates and casing, numbers stored as text, blanks, and error markers. Excel, CSV, and Google Sheets exports. You get a clean file plus a change log listing every edit, so you can check the work before you trust it.

Reporting and dashboards
Power BI and Excel dashboards built around the questions you actually ask, not every metric that could fit on a page. If a chart does not change a decision, it does not go on the report.

SQL and data pipelines
Queries, joins, and aggregations against your database. Cleanup logic written as a reusable script so the same fix runs next month without me.

Workflow automation
Power Automate, SharePoint, and API integrations that remove manual intake, routing, and repetitive admin work. I handle the awkward cases too: REST passthroughs, ETag-bypass writes, OData filter workarounds, and large-list flows that scale past standard row limits.

AI where it earns its place
I wire OpenAI and Claude APIs into workflows for document classification, extraction, summarization, and routing. I also tell you when AI is the wrong tool. Most of the time a well-written query beats a model call.

HOW I THINK ABOUT IT

My MS is in information systems management. My other master's is in organizational systems. That combination means I think about the technology and the people who have to live with it. Systems get abandoned when they are built for the builder instead of the user, and that is usually a design problem rather than a technical one.

I have shipped production systems that hundreds of people use daily to make operating decisions, built end-to-end with no server access by architecting around what was actually available.

PL-200 Power Platform Functional Consultant certification is in progress, expected in Q3 2026.

WHO THIS FITS

Small teams and operations groups where reporting is manual, the source data is inconsistent, and nobody has time to fix it properly.

Nonprofits and professional services firms that need real automation without an enterprise budget.

Anyone sitting on a spreadsheet they do not trust.

HOW I WORK

Async first. No surprise calls. When I message you, there is something worth your attention.

Clear scope, clear updates, no disappearing. You get the working deliverable and documentation your team can maintain after I am gone.

Based in Ohio. Available evenings and overnight Eastern Time, which usually means work lands in your inbox before your day starts.

TO START

Tell me what you are working with, what is breaking or eating hours, and whether you have tried to fix it before. I will tell you honestly whether it is worth doing, and if it is not, I will say so.
