Exports never come out ready to use. Three blank rows at the top, headers halfway down, subtotal rows sitting inside the data, dates in two formats, the same customer spelled four different ways, and numbers stored as text so nothing adds up.
I clean it and hand back one table you can actually pivot, filter and import. Every change is logged. You get a methodology page telling you how many rows went in, how many came out, what was merged and under which rule, and what was flagged rather than touched.
That page matters more than the clean file. Anyone can hand you a tidy spreadsheet. Very few will tell you what they threw away to make it tidy.
Nothing is deleted silently. Rows I could not resolve are marked and left in, with the reason next to them, so you decide rather than discovering the gap three weeks later.

What I work on:
Excel workbooks that break when someone adds a row. Formulas that reference the wrong range, links that point at files nobody has anymore, sheets that were built by four different people over three years. I rebuild the logic so a new row lands where it should.
PDF documents that need to become something else. Invoices into one spreadsheet, diagrams into editable slides, static forms into fields people can actually type in.
Word documents that fight back. Tables of contents that show old headings, page numbers that count wrong, styles that break the moment the file opens on another machine. Usually the cause is a field code, and field codes can be fixed.
Data that arrives in the wrong shape. Merged cells, headers on row seven, subtotals mixed into the rows they total, dates stored as text in four different formats.
How it works:
You send the file. I open it and tell you what I found before quoting, so you know what you are paying for. Most jobs come back within 24 hours. Fixed price, agreed before I start.
Every file runs through a check before it reaches you. For Word that means the contents table is current and page numbers resolve. For Excel it means no broken references. If something in your source file is ambiguous, it comes back marked rather than filled in with my best guess. You decide those, not me.
What I do not do:
The visual side. Brand systems, layout aesthetics, choosing what looks good. I work on the structure underneath, and I would rather say that up front than take a job I would do badly.

Read the file as it arrived
I map what is actually in there before touching anything. Row counts, column types, how many date formats, how many spellings of the same value, where the junk rows sit.
Clean, log, and prove the totals
Every rule I apply is written down as I go. At the end your original totals and the cleaned totals sit side by side. Where they disagree, the reason is in the log.
