Hi, I'm John Crawford. I combine copywriting with graphic design to create professional brand guides. I've been doing this for the past 10 years, following a 20-year career with IBM.
A brand style guide or brand book is a PDF your staff and marketing team reference when creating documents, web content, and social media content.
It presents your brand colors, fonts, and visual elements to help you maintain a consistent brand message.
The basic gig includes these components:
• Cover Page
• Table of Contents
• Mission and Vision
• Brand Colors (six colors max)
• Typography (two fonts max)
• Logo (on various backgrounds)
• Brand Voice and Tone
• Contact Details
Eight pages is the ideal size as this allows your guide to be printed as a booklet with a front cover page, and contact details on the back cover. Twelve pages prints well as a booklet, allowing you to add a Brand Story, Logo Guidelines and Image Guidelines.
Note: this is not a brand consultancy gig. I don't design new elements for your brand, such as a new logo or business card. I create a document that displays and describes your existing brand elements.
