Over 8 years I've designed for early-stage startups and a government emergency services agency. The common thread isn't company size, it's complexity and consequence. My work includes a Fire Department Mobilising System, where dispatch screens had to be readable under pressure with zero ambiguity; an AI heart health monitor and ECG, turning clinical waveform data into something a patient and a clinician could both act on; an AI-powered air conditioning add-on, covering the app, the hardware pairing, and the setup flow most people abandon; and a service provider marketplace, with two-sided onboarding and the trust problem that decides whether a marketplace works at all.
If your product has real consequences, dense data, regulatory pressure, or a hardware component, that's my home ground. I'm comfortable learning your users' world before I open Figma, and I'd rather ask an annoying question in week one than ship a confident guess in week six.
