First, we need to see what your app/webpage will do. I focus solely on the customer (as they are the one that will go through the flow) and design the app/web from what you want the customer to achieve.
Understanding the targeted audience and business model
The app needs to be designed differently depending on who your target audience is. Maybe you target gamers? Then you need a darker interface with a ton of vibrant colors. Pet people? Here we use a white interface with simple colors. You get the deal.
