MVP development for mobile app
This is not a direct review for Diana - since her team (2 devs and 1 project manager) took over the project since the beginning, so it's more for the agency.
When starting the project, I asked for daily code commit to the repo. 2 days later, I have not seen anything yet, and there's very little discussion (a lot of the details need to get ironed out once the dev team starts building), leading me to think that the team hasn't really done much yet. It was a tight timeline, so I was worried that the project would stall.
I immediately decided to pause the project since I found other help, and asked the project manager to show the work that's been done so far, so I can pay for whatever work was performed. Then she sent over 2 zip files, which contains pretty much boiler plates setup, and nothing much beyond that (at most 3-4 hours of work, esp. given the fact that they build these apps all the time). With that, the project manager billed me for 28 hours (for 2 devs in 2 days) - which is obviously an inflated number. Since the project manager requested manual tracking, I couldn't verify that they actually worked for 28 hours, so I asked for more proof (i.e. github commits, etc.) which they couldn't provide. I would not recommend working with the dev team again (minimal communications + delayed work).

UX/UI Designer for Gamified EdTech App (Tight Timeline)
+ Diana was communicative and responsive. We were able to meet almost daily given the tight timeline.
+ Diana was respectful during the project, and made it easy to work with her.
+ Diana's team's design skills were great. When i showed the final design to target users, they all said that they liked the look & feel.
- While the initial estimate was competitive, Diana requested added hours for revisions that were within scope. (for example I requested lo-fi wireframes and high-fi prototypes in the beginning, and the original budget was only enough for the lo-fi wireframes, and I had to keep adding milestones to fund the project).
- Some of the details were not as well thought-out (logic, dependencies, etc.).
- Looking back, the hours taken felt a bit more inflated. Even though it was fixed pricing, Diana usually suggested the incremental price based on how many hours it roughly takes to incorproate the feedback, which felt higher than how much it would normally take.
Overall - I was happy with the result for the price I paid. I'd recommend using the automatic hourly tracking (nothing manual) for future collaborations to better capture the amount of work done.
