Product Designer and Industrial Designer for wearable design and mechanical engineering Dam did an excellent job on our wearable product development project. His expertise in Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, and CAD Design was evident from concept through the final 3D model. He created a functional, ergonomic wearable design while ensuring the product was ready for prototyping and manufacturing.

Communication was smooth, revisions were handled quickly, and every detail was carefully considered. If you need a Product Designer, Industrial Designer, or Mechanical Engineer for wearable devices, CAD modeling, product development, or design for manufacturing, I highly recommend Dam.

Have a product concept, sketch, PCB, prototype, or CAD model that needs to become a refined, functional, and manufacturing ready product?

I’m an Industrial Designer specializing in Consumer Product Design, Consumer Electronics Design, 3D CAD Modeling, Mechanical Design, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Product Development, and Electronic Enclosure Design. I help startups, inventors, and brands turn ideas into products whose form, internal components, usability, assembly, and manufacturing method work as one system.

My Product Development process starts with real requirements. I review your concept, PCB files, component dimensions, target user, materials, and production goals. I then establish an Industrial Design direction connecting appearance with mechanical architecture. This prevents attractive concepts that cannot house components, operate comfortably, assemble efficiently, or reach production without major changes.

For Consumer Product Design, I develop form, ergonomics, controls, user interaction, materials, finishes, and assembly. Effective Consumer Product Design must do more than create an attractive exterior. It should feel intuitive, communicate quality, and reflect how customers will handle it. Every decision follows the intended use case, so the result feels purposeful instead of generic.

My Consumer Electronics Design work develops the outside and inside together. I plan around the PCB, battery, display, sensors, connectors, buttons, LEDs, charging ports, wiring, and thermal needs. This approach to Consumer Electronics Design reduces component conflicts, blocked ports, weak mounts, awkward controls, difficult servicing, and costly redesigns after prototyping.

Electronic Enclosure Design is critical for compact hardware. I create internal layouts, PCB bosses, ribs, snap fits, screw connections, port openings, ventilation, sealing, battery retention, and cable routing. Each Electronic Enclosure Design uses real dimensions, tolerances, and assembly clearances to protect the electronics, support reliable assembly, and maintain a clean Industrial Design language.

Using 3D CAD Modeling, I convert the approved direction into detailed parametric parts and assemblies. My 3D CAD Modeling covers exterior surfaces, internal features, part separation, wall thickness, draft, clearances, tolerances, fasteners, and component retention. The CAD is organized for revisions, prototype testing, and continued Product Development.

Mechanical Design gives the concept the structure required to work reliably. I apply Mechanical Design to hinges, clips, latches, brackets, mounts, buttons, sliding features, seals, and other functional details. I evaluate how parts interact, where loads transfer, what requires reinforcement, and how assembly can be simplified without weakening performance or appearance.

Design for Manufacturing (DFM) is considered throughout the project rather than added after the design is complete. I prepare products for injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, elastomer molding, and additive manufacturing. My Design for Manufacturing (DFM) review covers wall thickness, draft, undercuts, tooling direction, material behavior, tolerances, fastening, part count, assembly time, and cost. This keeps the Consumer Product Design visually strong and practical to manufacture.

Depending on your Product Development stage, deliverables can include concept sketches, internal layouts, 3D CAD Modeling, rendering, prototype files, refinements, exploded views, section views, assembly guidance, technical drawings, and production ready CAD. I can provide native parametric files with STEP, IGES, STL, and PDF documentation for prototype or manufacturer review.

I am best suited to projects where Consumer Product Design and Consumer Electronics Design must solve physical constraints, including wearable electronics, PCB enclosures, IoT devices, handheld products, wellness housings, smart accessories, and sensor products. By combining Industrial Design, Mechanical Design, Electronic Enclosure Design, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM), I create hardware that is coherent outside, organized inside, and realistic to build.

If your concept has fit problems, unfinished CAD, weak ergonomics, unclear assembly, or an enclosure that is not ready for manufacturing, send the available files. I’ll identify the main technical risks and recommend a path from concept through 3D CAD Modeling and final Product Development.
