Expert Shopify Developer – Custom Build for Premium Brand (No Themes)
Do not hire Camilo and his brother Santiago. We paid $1,762.50 for a custom Shopify build and got an incomplete design that was never finalized, unfinished pages, and revisions that were requested multiple times but never implemented. Our team made the mistake of releasing Milestone 1 and Milestone 2 before the design phase was actually complete, and they took full advantage of that.
They also violated a signed NDA by using our confidential, unfinished Figma design in proposals to other clients. We only caught it because they accidentally submitted it to one of our own job postings. They blamed it on a new team member, but the damage was done. Our confidential brand materials were shared externally without permission while the project was still in progress.
Communication was inconsistent. There were stretches with no updates, slow responses, and we constantly had to follow up just to get a status. When we raised concerns, Camilo and Santiago sent long documents and Loom videos defending themselves instead of just fixing the work.
When we requested a refund for the incomplete design phase, they refused and said the milestones were voluntarily approved, even though the work those milestones covered was never finished to standard. They then handed over the incomplete Figma and a code zip file and walked away.
If you hire them, make sure you never release a milestone until every single detail is finalized. Once the money is released, they have no incentive to fix anything. Lesson learned the hard way.
