Why did you want to be a UX Designer after 12 years in marketing?
Now that I'm in my mid-30s, I realized that the thing I love most about my marketing career was actually creating and understanding the audience / user. I've always loved to try new marketing technology and that inspired me to take a stab at designing apps that would really put the user interaction in mind.
What area in UX do you want to specialize in?
I like to focus on inclusive designs made for accessibility. I believe that tech is most beautiful when it helps the disabled and marginalized.
What was your worst design ever?
Oh, I wanted to flex my skillz in making drop shadows so I created an all-black neumorphic design. I lost my (developer) friends after that.
Are you okay with a junior role?
Yes. I'm open to the fact that I'm still starting in my UX career so I'd be happy to start from the beginning, learn the ropes, know your trade secret, and run away with it. Thanks.
