I built the tool that does this. I am the developer of "HTML to Figma (Auto Layout)", published in the Figma Community. So I am not guessing at the hard parts: I know exactly where automated conversion breaks on gradients, spacing, nested layout and web fonts, and I fix those parts by hand before you ever see the file.
What you get:
• Editable text layers, fonts matched to Figma's library
• Auto Layout applied properly, so resizing behaves
• Layers named and grouped so a designer can work in the file
• Gradients, shadows, borders, radius and images carried across
• Delivered as a Figma link plus .fig backup
