Most people asking for a dashboard already have the data. What they do not have is the five minutes at the start of the day where the answer is just there, without opening three files and a pivot table.
Send me an Excel file, a CSV, or read-only access to your database. Within a day you get a one page plan: every chart and table, what it shows, what question it answers, and where the number comes from. You approve that before I build anything, so nothing arrives as a surprise.
Then I build it and share a working link partway through, not only at the end. That is when people notice a missing filter or realise a chart should have been a table, while it is still quick to change.
Before delivery I check the totals against your own file. A dashboard showing a number you do not recognise is worse than no dashboard, because you stop trusting the rest of it too.
