Most Shopify stores are a theme dragged into place and patched until something breaks. Mine are built in code, from the theme up.
Recent work:
• Shoebill Koffie: a live Dutch specialty-coffee store on Shopify. Recurring coffee subscriptions built on Shopify's own selling-plan APIs, so the client pays zero monthly app fees. Variant catalog (roast, grind, weight), weight-based free-shipping and minimum-order rules, fully localized in Dutch.
• Plants by Frank: a custom Shopify store for an organic garden-plant nursery that sells direct to consumers. A deep, filterable catalog organized by plant type, light and use (full sun, drought-tolerant, evergreen, edible), variant-driven products with per-set and per-unit pricing across pot sizes.
• Motiv: a B2B SaaS for server-side conversion attribution that measures true ROAS across Google, Meta and TikTok, independent of each platform's own reporting. I built the Next.js and React front-end on Vercel: the marketing site plus the interface of the authenticated app.
• HiLeads: a fast, animated Next.js lead-generation site with a live data-visualization dashboard.
I still build WooCommerce and WordPress when it's genuinely the right tool, and I migrate stores off it to Shopify when it isn't.
What I do:
• Custom Shopify store design and build (real custom themes for e-commerce stores, not a theme install)
• Native Shopify subscriptions (Shopify's built-in selling plans, no third-party app fee)
• WooCommerce to Shopify migration
• Next.js and React websites, landing pages and web apps
• Dutch and EU checkout: iDEAL, VAT rules, GDPR
• Handoff and post-launch support, so you own the code and the store on day one
The stack: Shopify (Liquid, custom themes), Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Node.js, headless CMS, and the infrastructure to run it (nginx, CI/CD, TLS, monitoring).
How I work: I name the stack and the standards up front, then build in the open. Fixed-scope packages with a clear price, feedback rounds built in, and 30 to 90 days of support after launch depending on scope. No disappearing act once the invoice clears.
I work in English (near-native) and Dutch (native), so if you're selling into the NL/EU market, your store actually reads right in Dutch, not machine-translated. (I also speak Georgian.)
