Project details

I will prepare your existing FastAPI backend for AWS deployment readiness by adding a clean container setup and basic run/configuration notes.

This service includes a Dockerfile, .dockerignore, docker-compose.yml, environment/configuration notes, and basic instructions for running the app in a local container-based setup.

The goal is to give you a clearer, more deployment-ready backend foundation before moving to AWS services such as ECS/Fargate.

This is a starter setup service. It does not include live AWS deployment, Terraform implementation, CI/CD setup, database migration, production troubleshooting, or major application refactoring.

If you need a larger AWS deployment, Terraform, CI/CD, or production setup, this starter package can be used as a first step before agreeing a separate custom scope.

About Keith

Keith T.Status: Offline
Python/FastAPI Backend Developer | RAG, pgvector, AWS
Totnes, United Kingdom - 6:31 pm local time
I build Python/FastAPI backends for document ingestion, RAG, source-grounded LLM responses, PostgreSQL/pgvector retrieval, and AWS-ready deployment.

Recent work includes a private FastAPI/pgvector RAG backend with PDF/text ingestion, idempotent embeddings, LangChain/OpenAI integration, source-chunked answers, and PostgreSQL persistence.

I help clients build, containerise, deploy, and harden Python backend services with clear validation, reliable infrastructure, and practical operational visibility. My work focuses on FastAPI, Docker, PostgreSQL, Terraform, and AWS deployment patterns using ECS/Fargate, ALB, IAM, and CloudWatch.

I also work on backend services for AI-adjacent systems, including document ingestion, retrieval workflows, controlled LLM access, audit logging, request validation, and policy-based allow/deny decision flows.

I bring long-term experience in technical service ownership, troubleshooting, customer support, and service continuity. That means I approach work with practical scope control, clear communication, and attention to how a service behaves once it is live.

I can help with:

* FastAPI backend service implementation
* RAG/document Q&A backend prototypes
* PostgreSQL and pgvector integration
* Dockerising existing Python services
* Terraform-based AWS infrastructure
* ECS/Fargate deployment setup
* Document ingestion and retrieval backends
* Health checks, logging, and operational hardening
* Policy-based authorization and audit logging
* Controlled tool-access and MCP-style service endpoints for AI-facing backends
* Backend deployment-readiness reviews

I focus on well-scoped engineering work, clear handover, and dependable delivery.

Steps for completing your project

After purchasing the project, send requirements so Keith can start the project.

Delivery time starts when Keith receives requirements from you.

Keith works on your project following the steps below.

Revisions may occur after the delivery date.

Review project setup

I will review the existing FastAPI project structure, dependencies, current run method, and configuration needs.

Add container setup

I will add a Dockerfile, .dockerignore, and docker-compose.yml suitable for local container running and AWS deployment readiness.

Review the work, release payment, and leave feedback to Keith.
