A RAG system can produce confident answers while retrieving the wrong information underneath. The problem is often not the language model. It is usually weak chunking, missing metadata, poor retrieval, ineffective reranking, stale documents, unclear evaluation criteria, or insufficient production safeguards.
I review the complete pipeline, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, metadata filters, retrieval, reranking, prompt construction, citations, evaluation, API architecture, observability, and failure handling.
You will receive a practical assessment of:
• What is working correctly
• What is causing weak or inconsistent answers
• Which risks could become production problems
• What should be fixed first
• How your team should implement and validate those improvements
