I would have preferred not to leave a negative review, but after repeated attempts to follow up, I never heard back from Ehmad. I hired Ehmad (Expert-Vetted) to refactor a React Native app and deliver iOS and Android builds on a three-month timeline he personally guaranteed, and I paid a premium for that promise.
The project dragged on for nine months. The Android build was never completed, (i.e. I heard all the excuses) key functionality from the Figma specs was missing, and I was forced to handle QA myself. To keep things moving, I hired another developer at my own expense. Even after upgrading the React Native codebase that Ehmadโs provided, and in the end the core deliverables still werenโt met.
When I requested a small, reasonable partial refundโper the original understandingโthe team went silent. Itโs now been over weeks with no response.
Bottom line: (1) the execution didnโt match the scope, the timeline wasnโt respected, and accountability disappeared when it mattered most (2) The tech skills werenโt strong enough to meet the demands of the project or the timeline. The development skills I will tell you are not strong enough. And the way things ended with Ehmad didnโt help โ when he doesnโt like what he hears, he disappears and goes dark on you; it just felt like communicating with SCAMMER you can't get a hold of.
If youโre looking for a reliable development team that communicates and delivers, take your money elsewhere. Unfortunately, this was a bad hire and an overall negative experience with Ehmadโit ended in disappointment. Iโve been on Upwork a long time, and in this business your word is everything.
