Project details
I designed and built a full-stack, real-time competition management and judging platform for professional ballet competitions, built around the World Ballet Competition 2025. The system runs the entire event flow: importing competitors from Excel, organizing them into categories and multi-round formats (qualifying to master rounds), letting judges score live from secure PIN-protected stations across three criteria, calculating results in real time, and displaying scores on a stage screen for the audience. It also generates official PDF result reports and includes a stage-manager dispatch board that tracks every competitor's status live via WebSockets. The backend runs on Java 21 and Spring Boot with MySQL, JWT security, Excel import, and PDF export, while the frontend uses React 19, Vite, and Material UI, containerized with Docker and Nginx. I handled the entire build end to end, from the data model and real-time architecture to the judge, admin, and audience-facing interfaces.
