Project details
I will upgrade the current Angular version code from the old to the latest stable version.
We usually get peer dependency issues because of third-party libraries, which prevent you from installing node modules without using the --force flag.
My approach to upgrade:
1. Create a feature branch from the main (latest upgrade version) - for backup. (like upgrade-v8, upgrade-v9, upgrade-v17, upgrade-v18)
2. Use the Angular official document
3. Upgrade One version at a time
4. Resolve peer dependency issues.
5. Upgrade any deprecated/legacy code.
6. Remove node modules and reinstall.
7. Run the Unit test cases and fix them.
8. Check If the application is working properly or not, any issues with UI alignment.
9. Repeat steps 1 to 8.
10. Finally test the whole application and merge it into the main.
