Project details
We collaborated with an automated car wash company, integrating data from two REST APIs—QuickBooks and SuperOperator. I developed Python code to run daily in Databricks, extracting 25+ tables and implementing a Delta Lakehouse architecture on Databricks, structured into raw, curated, and semantic layers.
Data was ingested into the raw layer in Azure ADLS, where I used PySpark and Spark SQL to create Delta tables and perform transformations. The entire ETL process was automated through Azure Data Factory (ADF). Transformed data was then stored in the curated layer, with facts and dimensions aggregated into the semantic layer, optimized in a dedicated SQL pool in Synapse. This data layer served as the source for Power BI, where I designed highly impactful dashboards that surpassed client expectations with enhanced visual insights.
I also managed Power BI administration, overseeing scheduled refreshes, gateway configurations, and implementing row-level security for finance reports, ensuring data security and seamless reporting.
