I build the full lifecycle: signature-verified webhooks that handle plan changes and cancellations, customer records created once and reused on renewal, and middleware that gates premium content against real, live subscription status rather than a flag that can go stale.

Node.js Backend Architect | Production RAG, AI Systems & Scalable APIs

In my current role at Programming Hero, I have the opportunity to lead the design of full stack and backend systems for the company. That includes decisions around system architecture, API design, database modeling, authentication, caching, and deployment, rather than only implementing what someone else has already decided. I try to treat every decision as something I will personally be responsible for maintaining later, not just something that needs to work once.
My day to day stack is Node.js, Express, NestJS, and Next.js on the application side, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Prisma on the data side, and Docker on AWS or VPS infrastructure behind Nginx for deployment. Building secure REST APIs, role based authentication with JWT and OAuth, and integrating payment systems such as Stripe and SSLCommerz are a normal part of this work, not something I have only read about.
Outside of my regular job, I have spent a good amount of time building AI powered products end to end, on my own, from the first architectural decision to the last deployment step, mainly because it is the part of development I enjoy most.
One of these is Growth Studio, an AI content and trend intelligence platform that monitors sources like HackerNews, Dev.to, and GitHub, and generates a full week of brand voiced content in minutes. The part I am most proud of is not the AI generation step itself, but the ingestion pipeline in front of it, a four layer process using hash based deduplication, an embedding based relevance gate, deterministic trend scoring, and only then an LLM categorization step. Expensive AI calls only happen on data that has already earned its way through three cheaper filters first, which keeps the running cost close to zero even as it scales.
The other is EduNext, an AI native learning platform that turns passive video lectures into interactive, RAG grounded conversations with in video checkpoint quizzes and per student skill tracking. It is built as a Turborepo and pnpm monorepo with a clear split between a fast, user facing path (an Express REST and SSE API for streamed, cited chat answers) and a slower background path (a BullMQ and Redis worker handling transcription, embeddings, and quiz generation), using PostgreSQL with pgvector for hybrid retrieval.
I have also published an open source npm package, nexios-http, a lightweight HTTP client for Node.js and Next.js.
I am mentioning the technical detail above not to list buzzwords, but because the AI and RAG work on this profile is not something I read about, it is something I designed, built, debugged, and paid the hosting bill for myself, more than once.
On working style, I try to communicate clearly and early rather than go quiet and surprise a client later, and I would rather say a timeline needs to move than deliver something rushed. I have also worked with teams based in the UK and Canada in earlier roles, so working across timezones and communicating in English with clients outside Bangladesh is something I am already comfortable with.
