Ishwor delivered both C1 milestones cleanly, on time, and at high quality — but the public-review-worthy thing is what he does beyond execution.Most contractors take a spec and ship it. Ishwor reads the spec, sees what it's actually trying to accomplish, and tells you when the original framing is wrong. Multiple times during this contract he proposed scope restructures that produced materially better outcomes than what I'd asked for — collapsing two milestones into one when they belonged together, pushing back on architectural choices that would have created tech debt, and surfacing better tooling options I hadn't considered. The cost discipline that comes with this is rare: when scope expands, he absorbs it into himself rather than turning it into a separate negotiation.He treats the project as his own. Said this explicitly more than once and backs it up — refining shipped work in his own time after milestones close, flagging issues he notices in adjacent code, and bringing forward research/best-practices from the broader industry rather than just executing what's directly in front of him.Communication is direct, well-paced, and free of fluff. He surfaces blockers early, asks clarifying questions when they matter, and doesn't waste cycles on status updates when there's nothing to update. He's also unusually generous with context — when handing off to a new collaborator, he proactively walks them through architecture and unblocks them before they have to ask.Architectural judgment is the main reason I've moved him onto multiple additional contracts.
