Drupal - Artist call for application workflow
I had to end the job because Giriraj was constantly confused, even with the PDF attached to the job posting that detailed the requirements, and repeated explanations over chat. I think the main reasons is that is English is not good, and that he didn’t take the time needed to really analyse the job.
For those reason, he lowballed the job (compared to other experienced developers) and then seemed surprised of my requests, and even asked for additional payments, telling me that some functionalities were not part of the agreed upon requirements, even when I copy-pasted him the full text.
He told me he spent a week on the job, but he almost didn’t code anything and just did config and installations of a few modules in the backend. I’m not an experienced full stack Drupal developer as he claims he is, and I honestly think I could have done what he did significantly faster.
I’ve finally spent a good amount of money (2/3 of the fixed price), and less than 50% of the job is now done (the easiest part). It’s also my fault, I should have created more detailed Milestones. Now, I need to task someone else to finish the job, as I’ve lost confidence in him.
It’s hard for me to review his competences, as he finally didn’t do much.
