Deployment & CI/CD — Automated deployments with GitHub Actions and GitLab CI, Docker containers, zero-downtime releases and rollbacks, and proper dev/staging/prod setup. I deploy and tune Python apps (Django, FastAPI) with Gunicorn and Nginx.
Cloud (AWS & GCP) — EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, CloudFront, VPC, Cognito, autoscaling, and load balancing — set up correctly and kept stable. Plus secrets management, SSL/TLS, and IAM so the infrastructure stays locked down.
Cost control — This is where I save teams the most. I track where the cloud spend is going, right-size resources, and cut waste — then set up cost monitoring so it stays under control as you grow, instead of a one-time cleanup.
Monitoring & reliability — CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog for metrics, logging, and alerts, so you know what's happening before users do. Backups and disaster recovery for when something fails.
Scaling & performance — Tuning infrastructure for high-concurrency load, database read replicas and connection pooling, and caching so the system holds up as traffic grows.
