You will get ETL data ready for Tableau visual creation using Tableau Prep Builder

Project details
Tableau Desktop can bring in multiple data sources and do a lot with them but a lot of the time additional data prep utilizing joins, unions, aggregations, calculations, and cleaning is required before pulling data into Tableau Desktop. When you need some complex data prep for Desktop the best tool (stay with one vendor) to use is Tableau Prep Builder. I've worked with data structures for 30 years so let me organize your data (sometimes 80% of the project) with Prep which will allow quicker Tableau visual development (20% of the project). I've designed and developed many Preps for business from a full MRP flow to daily sales against budget, so if you utilize Tableau dashboards and have any level of complexity to your data sources then you should take full advantage of Tableau Prep Builder instead of using expensive tools like Alteryx or Informatica. Just like Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep can bring in over 40 different data source formats so your data can stay in its current format and read into Prep.

BI Data Engineer
Jim Cote is a team player. He showed up to meetings kindly and always carried a clear willingness to take on new or different work, especially if it supported a team-wide need. With every project, he judiciously met deadlines, received feedback gracefully, and would actively communicate about roadblocks ensuring that his project would reach completion. The most impressive aspect of his work was, by far, his thoroughness. He handled quite a few complex data projects for our team with varied data sources and difficult ETL (extract, transformation, load) requirements. But he handled them patiently and skillfully with his knowledge of Tableau and Tableau Prep. The resulting visuals have also provided our company with a solid impact on cost savings initiatives.
