You will get expert help diagnosing and fixing one PHP production issue

Project details
I help you understand and resolve one specific, well-defined PHP or MySQL production problem—without disrupting the rest of your application.
I’ve spent more than 20 years working inside production PHP systems: APIs that stop communicating, payment flows that silently drop transactions, MySQL queries that become slow, and integrations that break after a third-party change. My job is to find the real cause, explain it in plain language, and—when your package includes implementation—make a focused, carefully tested fix.
This project is intentionally scoped to one issue. If you’re unsure what’s actually wrong, describe the symptoms and I’ll investigate. If I discover that the issue is part of a larger architectural problem, I won’t quietly expand the work or surprise you with extra charges. I’ll explain what I found and let you decide whether a separate project makes sense.
This project does not include ongoing maintenance, new feature development, a full codebase or security audit, or unrelated fixes. Server, hosting, or DNS work is included only when it is directly causing the agreed issue.

Laravel/MySQL/DevOps
Best developer I've worked with, Michael's communication goes a long way. He is quick and highly skilled. But his communication is the extra step that will get your project to the finish line. Often Michael sends GIFs or video snapshots of his progress nightly when he works on a task. At the end of the day, finding a good programmer is one thing, but another that coordinates and communicates well, promptly, and honestly, is a whole level higher. As long as I have work, Michael is worth his price!

About Michael
Senior PHP Developer | Payments, APIs & Legacy SaaS

Job Success
Fort Smith, United States - 2:53 pm local time
I’m a US-based senior developer with more than 20 years of experience building, troubleshooting, and maintaining business-critical web applications. I’m especially effective when a system already exists, the problem is not obvious, and you need someone who can investigate it without creating additional instability.
My Upwork history includes $60K+ earned, 824 hours, 100% Job Success, and a client relationship continuing since 2019.
I can help with:
- PHP application troubleshooting
- Payment, API, and webhook integrations
- Legacy application upgrades and modernization
- MySQL performance and data-integrity problems
- Production bugs and intermittent failures
- Vue.js and JavaScript features
- Ongoing ownership of established SaaS applications
I work best with SaaS, ecommerce, and other established web applications that need experienced backend judgment—not inexpensive task execution.
Send me a brief description of the problem, your PHP/framework version, and the expected versus actual behavior. I’ll tell you whether it fits a focused diagnostic, a contained repair, or a larger engagement.
