Bug Fixers Needed – $1,000 Flat Fee – Case Management System Cleanup The freelancer started strong with good initial work, but later resisted completing the full scope of bug fixes needed to reach system MVP. Assigned tasks in the full systems phase missed deadlines, status update requests went unanswered, and this caused significant project delays, leading me to end the contract.

Java Backend Developer | POS Systems, Payment Integration & Tax Compli

I build and maintain production backend systems that handle real money: point-of-sale platforms, payment processing, multi-currency billing, and government tax/e-invoicing compliance. I also take AI-built apps and make them secure and ready for real users.

My deepest experience is in Java and Spring Boot with MySQL, but I'm framework-agnostic at heart. What I bring is the ability to design, ship, and stabilize solid backend systems, and I adapt to the stack a project needs. I've worked across Elasticsearch for search and reporting, Redis for caching, RabbitMQ for messaging, and Docker/Linux for deployment.

I own the whole lifecycle: designing the data model, writing and repairing database migrations, wiring up search and reporting, deploying to servers, and debugging live issues under load.

A lot of apps today get built fast with AI tools and demo well, but break the moment real users or real money show up: exposed keys, missing authentication, unindexed databases that crash under load, no validation, no error handling. I fix exactly that, turning a working prototype into something safe and stable enough to run in production.

What I'm good at:
Backend APIs: clean, well-structured REST APIs that other systems can rely on.
Databases: schema design, complex migrations, query optimization, and untangling data-integrity problems in live systems.
Security hardening: authentication and access control, moving secrets out of client code, input validation, and rate limiting.
Scaling & reliability: caching, indexing, background jobs, and observability so failures are visible instead of silent.
Payments & compliance: multi-currency transactions, payment gateway integration, and government-mandated e-invoicing and tax compliance.
Ops: Docker, Linux deployment, and keeping production services healthy.
