This sample project involved cleaning and formatting a dataset of over 300 product sales records across 7 columns for an e-commerce business. The goal was to transform raw data into a clean, consistent, and analysis-ready format.
I used Microsoft Excel and its advanced functions such as PROPER, IF, Find and Replace, and Remove Duplicates to standardize text formatting, correct inconsistencies, and ensure data accuracy. Additionally, I created a formula for automatic total calculations and reformatted all numerical fields for consistency.
The project was completed in one hour, delivering a fully organized and verified dataset. This resulted in improved data accuracy, faster reporting workflows, and facilitated easier decision-making for the client.
