Python & FastAPI AI Engineer for AI Agent Development

Jacob architected and built our AI backend in Python, developing a scalable FastAPI application deployed on AWS EC2 with a complete CI/CD pipeline. This server powers the AI processing behind our entire platform and exposes the REST API used by our frontend.

We've spent entire 10-hour Zoom sessions coding together in real time so we could make our Prompt Engineering sessions as fast and efficient as possible. We were able to iterate live on prompts, AI behavior, and backend logic, testing ideas and shipping new capabilities at a speed that simply wouldn't have been possible with any other engineer.
When we decided to move away from an existing voice AI provider (VAPI) and build our own solution, he rebuilt our voice agent infrastructure from scratch using Python Asyncio, and WebSockets to create a proprietary real-time voice platform.
Although Jacob specializes in AI Engineering using Python, his expertise extends well beyond that. He contributed across the full stack, working with Next.js, React, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Supabase whenever needed.
On top of all of that, Jacob is incredibly easy to work with and an exceptional communicator. He's always clear and concise, and he's constantly thinking ahead. More than once he's spotted issues before they became problems. When I say he's got your back, I seriously mean it.

Jacob did a great job for our startup, helping us through our initial phase of product ideation and experimentation. We were often working with ambiguous objectives and Jacob was flexible and responsive, going with the flow and providing both excellent work product and visionary ideas to help us through the process. He is a good listener and doesn't hesitate to drill down and ask clarifying questions, something not all engineers feel comfortable doing. This often helped us gain clarity in our requirements when we were struggling ourselves. Though he was hired specifically as a prompt engineer, his technical skills were advanced enough that he made contributions to other aspects of our development.
