I've built two SaaS products live right now — a venue and hotel booking platform for Nepal's events market (meroparty.com) and a B2B grocery ordering platform (orderxl.com). Both handle real bookings and orders from paying customers, and I still maintain them.
For your MVP, I do the same thing: design the data model, build a Node.js/Express/Nest.js REST API, and wire up a React/Next.js (TypeScript) frontend. No throwaway prototypes — the code I hand off is the same code I'd deploy for my own product.
I'd rather scope this tight around your one core flow than cram in every feature you can imagine — half-built platforms don't get users, working ones do. Not sure what that core flow should be yet? Message me first, and we'll figure it out.
