Project details

We are a premium hair salon in the UK looking for an experienced IoT / Full Stack Developer to build a real-time occupancy dashboard for our backwash (hair wash) chairs.

We will be using Minew MSD01-D22 ToF Occupancy Sensors installed above each backwash chair. These sensors detect whether a chair is occupied (without cameras) and send the data via Bluetooth to a Minew Gateway. The gateway then makes the occupancy data available via HTTP or MQTT, and the hardware supplier will provide the API/documentation and technical support.

We do not need any hardware development - only the software/dashboard.

The system will monitor 7 backwash chairs across two floors:

First Floor: 4 chairs
Basement: 3 chairs

We require a modern, live dashboard that can be displayed on wall-mounted screens or Android tablets throughout the salon, showing each chair as:

🟢 Available
🔴 Occupied
⚪ Offline (if applicable)

The dashboard should update automatically in real time without requiring manual refresh and allow each sensor to be assigned to a chair name (e.g. BW1, BW2, etc.).

Hello! I am a Senior GoLang Developer and Backend Architect with 10+ years of experience delivering robust, scalable, and high-performance cloud-native solutions.

I specialize in end-to-end backend architecture, migrating legacy APIs, and resolving complex concurrency issues. Whether you need a high-throughput Go microservice or a fast Node.js (TypeScript) backend, I deliver production-ready systems that are built to scale.

Proven Performance & Results:
- Optimized backend architectures to significantly reduce API latency and server response times.
- Successfully migrated legacy monoliths into highly efficient Go-based microservices.
- Designed scalable event-driven infrastructure, dropping database bottlenecks and cloud compute overhead.

Core Tech Stack & Expertise:
- Backend & APIs: Go, Node.js (TypeScript), Rust, and Python | REST, gRPC, WebSockets
- AI & LLM Orchestration: Integrating local LLMs, building agentic AI workflows, data ingestion pipelines, and Vector DBs
- Databases & Vector Search: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, GCP Datastore
- Event-Driven Architecture: Kafka, NATS, AWS SQS/SNS, GCP Pub/Sub
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS, GCP, Azure | Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Helm

I believe in writing clean, maintainable code and taking full ownership from development to seamless deployment. My focus is always on delivering quality work and building long-term professional relationships.

Please drop a message with your project requirements, and let's discuss how I can add value to your backend infrastructure.
