First step? I'll consult with you to understand your business & goals. Next using proven SEO methodology, I'll work to rank multiple targetted keywords on page one of the major search engines, eventually at or near the top. Also, I will perform what is necessary to maintain these positions. Maintaining ranking positions can take some effort too, depending on what the competition is doing!
My rate begins at just 18.00/hr. until you see an inflow of targeted leads and/or sales revenue as a result of my implementations. Then we can discuss increasing my rate in accordance with the value I bring to the table. You can hire me more permanently if you like, paying what I am worth based on the increased ROI you see. I'd like to think this is a very comfortable, transparent, and beneficial arrangement for both.
How long does it usually take to see leads and/or sales from SEO? This truly depends on your SEO goals and your competition. As one vital component of any strong online business marketing arsenal, SEO is a "long game" compared with other forms of marketing. For example with paid advertising, you'll see traffic much faster than with SEO, often the very same day a campaign begins. However, with paid advertising, the second you stop investing advert money, the traffic stops. But with search engine rankings, traffic will keep coming in 24/7 for months or years to come even if you stop paying for SEO services. And some of this traffic IS going to convert to leads and/or sales.
So realistically, it can take months or longer to rank at or near the top of page one for very highly competitive, high traffic-bearing keywords that we are going after. Not always though. There are certainly less competitive "gems" that I can often find that will still bring in decent amounts of valuable traffic and are easier and quicker to rank for. The good news is, valuable results from SEO does sometimes also occur in days and weeks rather than taking months or longer. These quicker wins are spontaneous, rewarding, and very encouraging.
