I design custom JRXML reports in Jaspersoft Studio and deploy them inside Fishbowl ERP — barcode labels, sales orders, pick tickets, POs, work order travelers, and inventory analytics.
What I bring beyond layout: I work the full stack behind the report — the SQL that feeds it, the JRXML itself, and the Java/Spring Boot service that runs it. Most report problems live between those layers, not in the design.
Example: a GS1-128 lot label was producing symbols scanners rejected. The layout was correct. The ERP was substituting a SQL wildcard when the optional expiry prompt was left blank, and that character was being concatenated into the barcode payload. Fixed at the expression level so a blank prompt drops the segment cleanly.
Comfortable with subreports, nested grouping, crosstabs, charts, conditional printing, thermal and continuous stock geometry, and Excel export tuning.
