Urgent: Team Needed for Quick UX/UI Revamp & Tech Stack Overhaul
I regret to report that my experience with Raju was highly disappointing and the worst I've encountered on Upwork. Our project, which was initially agreed for an "Urgent two-week completion", dragged on for five months due to constant delays, empty and promises.
Despite Raju being a nice person, against my better judgment, and seemingly eager to deliver, as the project continued and missed deadlines, there was frustration and stress which then lead to a lack and delayed communication. There was a concerning lack of urgency and professionalism. It became evident that Raju’s team lacked the technical skills, experience, and 'expert' they claimed. I had provided admin-level access as well. Again, this is difference between their claimed and actual capabilities was deceptive.
Raju often assured me that progress was being made, but I had to drive the project forward myself. This lack of initiative and the endless cycle of "empty promises" were not only frustrating but also misleading and stressful at times.
It’s the fist time after 15 years on Upwork that I’ve gotten this alert [Your contract, Urgent: Team Needed for Quick UX/UI Revamp & Tech Stack Overhaul with Raju B., has been idle on Upwork for more than 74 days after the last milestone deadline]
While I respect his hustle and commitment to finish, another blow is, the final delivery is unsatisfactory. This has led to my having to hire another developer to correct numerous issues post-delivery which has taken more time to untangle. Hence, the developer will rebuild most of the site. Unfortunately, I have to invest more costs, time, and have gone backwards with my business.
I do wish Raju the best as he gets more experience and grows his skillset. It's critical that freelancers accurately represent their capabilities to maintain trust and professionalism on this platform.
