Project details
Vigilant AI is a production-ready real-time fire and smoke detection system that identifies fire at the earliest ignition stage — much earlier than traditional smoke detectors.
Built with YOLO object detection and optimized for edge devices, the system runs efficiently on NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano using TensorRT (30+ FPS). When fire or smoke is detected, it instantly sends a push notification with the captured image to the user's mobile app via Firebase Cloud Messaging and stores the image in Firebase Storage.
This project showcases my full-stack AI capabilities: from model training and optimization to edge deployment and cloud integration. It combines Computer Vision, Embedded AI, and real-time notification systems — skills I use to deliver practical, high-impact AI solutions for clients in security, smart buildings, and industrial safety.
