Self-hosting n8n is cheap to start and expensive to get wrong. An instance left on a public port with default settings, no backups and no TLS is a breach waiting to happen, and the workflows on it are usually the ones your business quietly depends on. I set n8n up properly on your own server or cloud account: HTTPS behind a reverse proxy, credentials stored in n8n's encrypted store, database and encryption key backed up, and automatic restart if the box reboots. Then I build the workflows you actually need, with real error handling instead of a happy path that breaks the first time an API returns a 500. Everything runs on infrastructure you own and pay for directly, and every API key stays in your accounts, so you are never locked to me. You get the running instance, the workflows, and a handover document that explains how to restore it, where the backups live, and how to add the next workflow yourself.
