Stress and anxiety these days have become a prevalent issue affecting individuals well-being and productivity. Early detection of these conditions is super crucial for timely intervention and prevention of associated health complications. This paper is all about proposing an EEG-based approach for stress and anxiety detection using some machine-learning techniques. The dataset consists of EEG recordings, like, obtained from individuals under different stress and anxiety levels. Various machine learning algorithms Decision Tree and Kernel Support Vector Machine, are employed for some dope classification tasks. Additionally, a deep learning framework based on feed-forward artificial neural networks is introduced for, some comparative analysis, The study evaluates the accuracies of both three-class (relaxed vs. baseline vs. stressed) and binary (stressed vs. non-stressed) classifications. Results demonstrate, some promising accuracies with machine learning techniques achieving up to 91% and 63% for three-class and binary classifications, respectively.
