AI agents can't sign up for your API, enter a credit card, or manage keys. With x402, they don't have to: your API answers with HTTP 402, the agent pays USDC, and gets the response — pay-per-call, no accounts.
I run this in production. I built 1ly.store — a live x402 agent commerce marketplace (MCP + USDC on Base and Solana) — and the open-source 1ly MCP server agents use to buy daily. Your integration is done by someone who operates these rails, not someone reading the docs for the first time.
