"Pixel-perfect" gets used loosely, so here's what I actually mean by it: I compare the built site against your Figma file side by side, at real screen widths, not just eyeballing it and calling it close enough.
Where this usually goes wrong is mobile — a design that only exists as a desktop mockup leaves a lot of decisions unmade, and I'd rather ask upfront than guess and rebuild later. Same with hover states and animations a static file can't show. You end up with code clean enough for another developer to pick up later, not a pile of inline styles held together with hope.

I build it in Next.js and compare it side by side against the original file to catch spacing or font mismatches most people wouldn't notice.
