I am a senior developer with 15+ years of MySQL experience, including 11 years owning schema design, migrations and query optimization for a cloud billing platform acquired by Google, where the tables were measured in terabytes rather than megabytes.
What I do:
• Diagnose and fix slow queries using EXPLAIN, proper indexing and query rewrites
• Design clean schemas for new projects: tables, relations, constraints, migrations
• Untangle locking problems and deadlocks
• Review an existing schema and deliver a prioritised list of fixes

Measure the current state
I profile the queries with EXPLAIN and record baseline timings, so we can prove later exactly how much faster things got.
Fix indexes, queries and schema
I add the right indexes, rewrite the queries that need it, and correct schema problems. Any change that touches live data is planned so it can be rolled back safely.
